ZIBATÁ is defined as a sustainable project that strives to better the lives of people and to respect the environment and the surroundings through responsible management of natural resources, such as land and water, low energy consumption and the preservation of local flora.
PRESERVATION AND RELOCATION OF SPECIES
ZIBATÁ has developed a unique and ambitious program of preservation and relocation of flora within the real-estate developing. To date, some 20,000 specimens have been preserved both in green houses and green spaces. Also, a living park of cacti will be created at the Town Center, as well as the development of theme parks the whole development.
USE OF ECO-FRIENDLY CONCRETE
Thanks to a Mexican invention, the green circuits (bike paths) are made of a 100% permeable material that retains and reuses rainwater by allowing it to be absorbed into ground water reserves. Also, it contributes to the conservation of microclimates, because the process of evaporation of the water it contains is done very slowly contributing to the environment’s humidity.
INTENSIVE WATER RECYCLING SYSTEM
Waste water in ZIBATÁ will be handled by a system of pipes that collect drinking water from homes and carry it to a treatment plant. The re-use system will save drinking water through separating the two sewage systems (waste water and raw sewage).
